TWIN-ORE IV

Chapter Eleven

First Flight

When Lojin Dane took flight, he didn't simply appear to be a flying man in the sky. Manipulation of the molecules surrounding his body produced a visual blurriness and a tint of Ryder teal. This made him appear more like a specter in the air, with his physical shape obscured; a blue orb of energy darting across the Aurion sky. Since Lojin’s crystal embedding (and the traumatic event that scene had been for Ghenny) the newly wedded couple had grown ever more distant. The once undeniable deep-seated bond shared between the young pair appeared to wane. Following the spectacle of that evening (when Dane and orb became one), Lojin was granted access to the depths of true Ryder power. Unlocked Ryders might have been a cosmic force locked in a hidden chamber, and all at once, Lojin Dane alone knew the secret entrance. He was the only one that had the key! He’d always had it. In fact, Lojin himself was the key; his ancient blood. This indescribable well of untapped and arcane wisdom had nearly consumed Lojin during this time. He spent days in meditation and training without breaking even for food or water, being sustained solely on Ryder verve. Through the incessant sting of her hand scars, a grim fear had begun to amass deep inside of Ghendra. A fear that her love and lord husband was being transformed into something else, something new. Dr. Sync had warned them both about this possibility, referring to it as Lojin's “evolution” but regardless, it all proved to be quite difficult for Ghenny, and Lojin knew it. He sensed her unhappiness for some time but was heavily entrenched in his crystal development.

Once he conquered the substantial hurdle of gravity, however, he said, “enough”. That evening at dusk, he levitated up to the tall window in their Northwood keep. There he saw Ghendra staring into a polished glass and crying. His heart broke for the woman he loved more than anything else; the woman who gave his life purpose before any talk of destiny surrounded him. He wanted so desperately to ease her pain and provide her with some happiness at that moment. Finally, with all his restraint gone, he burst into the window and scooped her up in his arms. He spun her around to his back and just as quickly, they were up in the Aurion sky. Ghendra hardly knew what had occurred, but she felt the familiar and unmistakable serenity of being in Lojin’s arms, and thus, she had little fear in her heart. Once in the air, Lojin merely glanced over his shoulder at Ghendra’s still tear-strewn face and offered her a sly smile. She laughed back at him in wonder and saw him as a god in that instant, forsooth. A blue chemtrail tailing their spurring orb of energy could be seen running north to south all through the lands of Aurion, like a cobalt comet painted across the sky. The trail would just begin to fade before being painted over with another brushstroke after brushstroke, as Lojin and Ghendra circled the globe countless times, without end.

At one point, Lojin spun himself upside down and faced Ghenny, who was holding on atop him. Then, he kissed her with the force and passion of a thousand molten moons as he deftly unbuttoned her blouse. She put a hand atop his and said, “Lojin, we can’t! I mean, how are you even doing this? We could drop out of the sky!” Lojin just flashed his coy smile again, as he continued undressing her. The black burn scars on both of their hands throbbed in line with their paired heartbeats as they amorously kissed and held each other. Soon, Ghendra too was uninhibited and overcome with passion. Still, once more she resisted and said through heavy breath, “My love. Promise you won’t let go?

With his sly smile still present, Lojin simply replied, “Never.”

And so the two lovers blazed on. Their Twin gleaming Ore tangled up within each other. They traversed the firmament at cosmic speeds, whilst making love on a bed of naught but molecular vibrancy and Aurion sky. The energy orb surrounding them would swell, then shrink in line with the rhythm of each throb and thrust. Soon, the orb was no longer merely reacting to their energy, but firmly guiding them through each ebb and flow. Lojin experienced pleasure beyond his wildest dreams; indescribable pleasures. The greatest of which was granted by the look of pure ecstasy tattooed upon his lady’s face. At Ghendra’s sweet and frenzied pinnacle, Lojin accelerated further as the vibrant shell’s internal energy jolted. Then inexplicably, a myriad of lusty colors burst forth from the solemn blue tint of the orb. It was a dazzling display of climax in chroma, crippling in its beauty. It was an overwhelming and surreal spectacle to behold from rock to ring, and Lojin Dane exulted in it, fully drinking his wife in, gluttonously. Later, this unprecedented multi-colored laser blazing across the length of the sky would come to be known as the “Trumpeting of Doctone”; a signal of his arrival on Aurion.
